Things to Do

The Getty Center rises into the Santa Monica Mountains above Brentwood, offering stunning views across Los Angeles from its gorgeous Central Garden. Inside the Getty’s striking main museum building is a huge collection of pre-20th century European artwork, including Vincent Van Gogh’s “Irises”. Spectacular views can also be taken in by ascending the hiking and mountain biking trails of the mountainside Mandeville Canyon Park. Other recreational amenities in Brentwood include Barrington Recreation Center and Dog Park. The Rec Center’s facilities include lighted baseball diamonds, basketball and tennis courts, football and soccer fields, and a children’s play area. Barrington Rec Center also has many special sports programs and summer camps for kids. The adjacent Barrington Dog Park has a 1.5-acre off-leash area for your canine friends along with a separate area exclusively for smaller dogs.
